Hi! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and view my portfolio. I'd like to share a little more about myself. I recently completed an accelerated program in Full Stack Web Development with KU. Before starting down this path I took numerous continuing education Web Development courses at Johnson County Community College. In late 2017 I completed my Masters of Art in Interaction Design through KU and am hoping I will be able to build onto my experience with UX and Web Development in the future!
Currently, I am working at Garmin as an Aviation Cartographer using my B.S. in Geography. We input and manage data for thousands of airports and charts that are viewable by pilots digitally as they fly.

Films + Friends is a service aimed at helping users plan what movies to watch with their friends. The user selects a genre and rating and gets back 5 movies titles that are editable from the OMDB API. The app then sends out invitations for votes. Once all votes are in everyone receives an email with the winning title.
This app allows users to create an account and keep track of tech development bookmarks in an organized manner. Users have main collections that are named by them, but the subcategories of "Documentation", "Tutorial", and "Other", help with easy organization.

This app runs on the command line using node and connects to a MySQL database. It shows you a table of items with information about each and prompts you to purchase an item. Once you have chosen an item it asks for a quanity and then gives you a total cost if the desired item is available.
This app is a quiz that matches the users compatibility with characters from the Friends TV show. The user gives their name and a link to their photo. They then answer ten simple questions about their personality and a modal alerts them with the results.
This app allows users to enter the name of a burger that gets saved to a SQL database. The available burgers within the table are shown to the left with the option to "Devour". Once they have been devoured they move to the right list of devoured burgers.

TealPlate: Providing Assistance with Safe Meal Preparation for Those with Food Sensitivities is an independent project I completed as my thesis project for my Masters of Arts in Design. It is a proof of concept of an web application that would benefit those who are less familiar with dealing with the complexities of food sensistivies.
This was a project to restructure the existing website for the Overland Park Orchestra to better serve the needs of the Orchestra and the community. It was completed using wix.com.
